In 2024, the Hungarian Association of Printing and Paper Industry awarded two of our colleagues András Druzsbaczky, Operation Manager, and Károly Szamper Production Control Manager, the Hess András prize, one of the highest professional recognitions in the printing industry in Hungary. The award ceremony took place on Thursday, 18 April 2024, during the Association’s Spring Economic Conference and 54th General Assembly in Budapest.

András Druzsbaczky joined the Printing Company on 1 September 1992. In the same year, he graduated from the Technical College of Light Industry with a degree in printing, and in 1995 he received a printing engineering degree from the University of Forestry and Wood Sciences. In addition to his work, András also completed several professional courses, including IT, information security, and quality management. He first managed the production IT team and then became head of the digital printing plant in 2009. He played a key role in the continuous development of digital printing, contributed to the production of many products, and the introduction of new technologies. Our colleague plays an essential role in the professional completion of our high-volume campaign periods. András does not know the impossible, he leads his team decisively and always with humanity, if necessary, we can count on him and his printing and IT skills in other areas as well. He lives in Buda with his wife and is the father of four daughters. He is an excellent professional and a loyal friend. He likes to travel, read, and regularly cuts the grass in his garden with a traditional hand mower as a form of exercise.


Károly
Szamper graduated from the Tótfalusi Kis Miklós Printing Technical College as an offset machine operator and then graduated as a light industrial engineer. In his first job, he worked as a machine operator, but he soon learned the complex tasks of mold-making and binding processing. Later, he was introduced to the commercial, production management, and production administration tasks of the printing industry, and in 2012 he joined our Company as a product manager with considerable professional experience. Since 2019, he works as a production control manager in our Halom street plant. In the course of his work, he coordinates the tasks of the bindery, the press room, and all related production areas, and participates in the development of production programs. He is a key figure in the launch, operation, and development of passport production, and his professionalism and diligence are exemplary. The father of two children, he lives in Kispest and enjoys going to concerts in his spare time. If he can, he often devotes himself to his youth hobby of stamp collecting and is a member of the board of the National Federation of Hungarian Philatelists.
