The consortium led by ANY Security Printing Company has signed a contract with the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary for the production of excise and tax stamps for a two-year period.
The consortium of ANY Security Printing Company PLC (former State Printing Company) and Hungarian Banknote Printing Shareholding Company won the tender procedure conducted by the Central Office of the National Tax and Customs Administration, for the production of excise and tax stamps. Net value of the contract for two years concluded on December 21, 2013, amounts to nearly HUF 3.8 billion. Several hundreds of millions of excise and tax stamps will be delivered by the consortium led by ANY Security Printing Company in the next two calendar years, and this quantity may be changed between -30% and +25% according to the Customer’s demands.
“The Company has been producing Hungarian tax stamps for 18 years. Security of excise and tax stamps is a key issue for the budget and as a result of two decades of cooperation we have superseded the counterfeiters from this field. The Document Security Laboratory of the Printing Company – in cooperation with the authorities – does not only improve the level of Hungarian documents, but we have also been successful at numerous international tenders. Icelandic driving licences have been being produced in Budapest and passports of far African countries are protected by our high-tech inks. Our success in this tender confirms us that we can stay competitive only due to new developments and patents.” – commented Gábor Zsámboki, CEO of ANY Security Printing Company.
